PRECISION MACHINING

Cheetah Precision has been a leader in precision machining and precision machined parts for more than four decades. We have state-of-the-art equipment that make Cheetah a national leader in the industry. Our efficiency and throughput, coupled with cutting edge CNC technology, enable us to offer the highest level of quality at competitive pricing.

Precision machining is a process that allows for the manufacturing of parts that meet or exceed the specifications of those that order them. If you are a company that assembles any type of products that are made using metal parts, which require close tolerance finishes, you will want those parts to be precision machined.

When a product is put together using precision machined parts, the fit is extraordinary. This is something that is an absolute must when doing such things as building automobile engines and assembling the pieces of aircraft bodies. How do we know this? It’s because here at Cheetah Precision, we have been providing quality precision machined parts for our customers for over 40 years now.

Modern State-of-the-Art Machined Parts

Many years ago, machined parts had to be painstakingly and meticulously made predominantly by hand. This means it took a long time to fill large orders. Fortunately, that is no longer the case. With improvements to the technology involved in the cutting of precision-made parts and the introduction of computers into the process, not only are precision-cut metal parts made faster than ever before but the quality of those parts has increased substantially too. The computer-controlled machines that are now used to cut and shape these highly precise parts are called CNC (Computer Numerical Controlled) machines.

CNC machines offer several advantages to those that use them besides just being faster and producing higher quality parts. These are:

  • The specific computerized program used to make a precision cut can be stored so that it’s easily repeatable in the future
  • It has helped drive the cost of producing high-quality parts down and this savings is then passed on to our customers
  • A smaller human workforce is necessary when using CNC machines and this helps makes the businesses operating these machines more efficient
  • Machines that cut, bore through, grind, and mill metal parts can be very dangerous to work around; fewer workers being present has helped to make precision machining factories safer too

Types of Metals for Precision Machining

Even the hardest types of metal can be made into quality precision machined parts these days. That list includes Carbon and Alloy Steel, Brass, Stainless Steel, Tungsten, and Platinum. This also applies to Monel, Inconel, Hastily, Cobalt, Chromium, Molybdenum, and other Non-Ferrous metals. It’s a process that makes for very durable parts that are also made to very exacting specs. Precision machined parts help manufacturers produce higher quality products that greatly appeal to customers, retailers, and distributors.
